I found a nice fortress way out in the Nether, nearly -2k out from the hub, which would be a great place to build a wither farm. It has a triple intersection and lots of open air. I saw a video on one where they hollowed out everything from under the bedrock on the ceiling down to the bedrock at the bottom, using sand and gravel to get rid of the lava and everything. You can use glass or glow stone on the bottom to keep ghasts and all other mobs from spawning. This could be a huge community project, since a 150 by 150 area would need to be cleared out with the triple intersection at it's center. Thoughts?

So I wanted to add something to this. Fuzzybat has done crazy amounts of work starting to get this set up, and I figured that it wouldn't be right for such an important community resource to be done entirely by him. Now the tunnel from the hub to the farm is loooooong, maybe a thousand blocks or more, so I thought if everyone agreed on a design and agreed to contribute one or two hundred blocks, we could all make the tunnel awesome and Fuzzy wouldn't end up swamped. At present it runs off his own tunnel but there's an empty space a few doorways down that we could easily connect it to.
Thoughts/ideas/comments?
